Legare, L.P. Legare is a furniture design and manufacturing company that produces unique, easy to assemble furniture for the home and small office. Started in late 1999 as an after-hours project and following three years of product design and development, a partnership was formed to optimize manufacturing and increase marketing efforts by combining the global sourcing and distribution expertise of Mike Markwardt with the sales and marketing leadership of Howard Klion and the design and engineering expertise of Brock Brandenberg. The current Legare designs are simply an evolution of this original modular design, with the introduction of some new materials and finishes along the way. All components preserve the original aesthetics and functionality while remaining free of the need for tools or fasteners. |

Brock Brandenberg is the original founder of Legare and the creator of the patented designs for our innovative "fun to assemble" furniture. In his 15 years of design experience, Brock has developed a variety of innovative consumer products, from furniture to consumer electronic products to computer software. "It's all about solving problems in a way that's better than what's been done before." Global Sourcing & Distribution ExpertiseMike Markwardt has spent over 22 years in the import/export residential ceiling fan and lighting industry. Under Mike's leadership as President/CEO of Fort Worth-based Encon Industries, he built a small family business into the world's 2nd largest supplier of ceiling fans. He has spent a great deal of time developing strong supplier relationships in Southeast Asia and literally created the European ceiling fan market through his pioneering sales & distribution efforts. Furniture Sales & Marketing LeadershipHoward Klion is a distinguished sales and marketing veteran within the USA furniture industry, having sold over $1 billion in furniture products over the past 20 years. His experiences and expertise in selling national accounts, provides us invaluable knowledge of what is required to supply and service, retailers of all types and sizes. |
